I AM
by Catherine D. Cline.........................................
My body's gone, but I am not.
I'm the rain that cools you when you're hot.
I'm the sound in that night that your hear.
I'm the wind blowing gently in your ear.
I'm the leaves, I chased, now stuck to your rake.
I'm the empty void you call heartache.
I'm the morning sun that brings you light.
I'm the peaceful slumber that comes with the night.
I'm the light that comes with the moon's full glow.
I'm the first flake on your face from each winter's first snow.
I'm the bright coloured flowers when time starts anew.
And, I'll ALWAYS be here all around you.
My body's gone, but I am not.
