My Sweet Gracie
by Cathy Fitzpatrick.........................................
She came to be mine at just 4 weeks old
She cried so much I wanted to put her out in the cold
But inside she did stay
Where she played and played and played and played

Each day I came home she wiggle, wiggle, wiggled
So darn cute it made me giggle
As I took her for a walk
She would listen to me talk
Tilting her head intently listening to all that I had to say
In hopes that it would lead to more play, play, play

As she grew there were good times and bad
There were days the messes made me mad
Lost some books, carpet, plants, and clothes
All because she hated being alone
As she aged she lost some of her bad deeds
This allowed her time off the lead

Then she got sick and began to fade fast
Vet said she will not last
I hold her each night
In hopes she will fight
With all her might she did try
As I watch her all I can do is cry

So hard to let go now that decision time has come
But she left this world surround by my love

Love you My Gracie Girl!
