My sweet love. Those were the words only you got to hear. And those were the last words I spoke to you today, before you were laid to rest. I have never felt so much love in my heart in all my life as I have felt for you. You were the only being in my life that when called would rush to my side, even if you had gotten in trouble earlier in the day. The memories of you will keep me laughing forever. You in the morning getting caught on the kitchen counter pushing the butter dish lid to the side to get a few licks of butter. Jumping on the dinner table at breakfast to shove your head in my cereal bowl, knowing I would just let you, and then meowing at the back door to go flipping around on your back outside on the warm cement. The funny stories are endless and so are the sweet ones. I just want to know how I'm going to sleep tonight knowing that you won't be laying right on my pillow or next to me snuggling.
