I searched high and low for a prayer for a fish
I found some for dogs, cats, even hamsters, and yet
There were none to mourn the passing of my little pet.
"Flush it down the toilet" one website said
"Its just a fish who cares if it's dead".
This just isn't right, I cried,
He brought me such joy until the day he died.
Isn't he also a creation from God, just like a cat or a dog?
Maybe I could never hold him or give him a kiss
But my beautiful little angel, I will always miss.
