Sydney, you have left us
We had no chance to say goodbye.
The Good Lord said it was time to take you
Leaving us with many questions of "Why?"

That fateful day still haunts me
Your absence has left a huge void in my heart.

You were so sweet and loveable
Our beautiful and good little girl.
You had so many funny antics
Oh how you loved to chase the squirrels!

You were always faithful and loyal
Never wanting to part our sides.
You took such joy in living
Loving to play and go for car rides.

You made me feel safe and secure.
You protected me from harm.
Whether you were "saving" me from an icky bug
Or snuggling up to keep me warm.

You will NEVER be forgotten.
I doubt this hole in my heart will heal.
I will remember you forever
For my heart you truly did steal.

So until we meet again my friend
At the Rainbow Bridge where we will cross,
Take care of yourself, run, play, and have fun
And know in our hearts you will never be lost.
