Junior was his name. He was sheltie. A very loving sheltie. Junior was always there to greet anybody that came in the door. He would sleep at your feet all the time. Junior would sit by me, when I was in the recliner and just wait for me to put the foot up so he would crawl up and sit by my feet. He loved our family very much and we loved him very much. He was our best friend. We had a very sad day on Jan. 10 2006. Junior got out of the house and we didn't know it. The door didn't shut right and we didn't know it. We had a knock at the door it was our neighboor. She said Connie I just hit your dog. I said you couldn't hit him. He isn't outside. She said yes I just hit him. I couldn't believe it. So we went outside and it was Junior. There he was on the road. My husband picked him up and he was gone. He died instantly. It was the horrible. I still can't believe it. He was our baby and we never left him outside without us being with him. The saddest part it my son was the one who didn't shut the door all the way and we never new it. He was our best friend. It is like losing one of your kids. I don't think this pain will ever go away. He was a very cheerful dog. He was very young and I think that is why it is so hard for us to except it. I am hoping it will get better as the days go on. He will never be forgotten. We love our Junior Bug.
