R.I.P. Max - Our love for you will go on & on xx
The minute I saw you at the dog shelter I knew you were the dog for me, you were small, white & soft with apricot colour ears so cute & playful, but those bright warm eyes of yours did it for me, I knew from that moment I was in love.
Not quite sure of your age the vet said you were about 18 months, but my god you were gorgeous, we had such brilliant times together, the years went by I had a daughter & a son who both adored you, you grew up with them, all 3 of you never left each others side. When they were babies you would lay by the side of their cot never leaving them untill they woke from their sleep, you were their guardian angel.
The years went by and we moved abroad we were worried you wouldnt settle but you loved it especially walkies on the beach every day, but as you got older the walkies got shorter you were struggling a bit then one day something wasnt quite right so we took you to the vet, he did blood tests, the news were devastating......you had pancreas cancer and had only 6 months to live, we were beside ourselves, inconsolable.
But 9 months on you were still with us but not in very good shape the fits you developed were every day now and you didnt know half the time who we were or where you were, you deteriotated quickly, then the dreaded day came that we hoped never would, Tuesday 23rd September, 2008 we decided we couldnt let you suffer no more. The vet was fantastic & the end was very peaceful for you, from the look on your face you knew it was time.
We had 12 blissful years with you everyday a pleasure, night, night Max sweetheart, until we meet at Rainbows bridge we will never forget the star you were xx
