"My Christmas Present from Harkin"

I must tell you about my dream the other night (Christmas Eve Eve) ... I dreamt about Harkin.

I was in Heaven with him. It was incredible how REAL it felt and how much of the dream I remember! I was petting a dog, when another dog came up along side of him. When I looked, it was Harkin. I just couldn't believe it! I started to cry when I realized it was him and I was able to touch him and pet him and hug him and he was able to give me "wubba-wubbas" (kisses)!! It was absolutely incredible!!!

His coat was so shiny and he had no gray in his face. He looked as though he was about four years old ... able to run and play like he used to. Oh, we spent so much time together. Then we walked around together and I was able to talk to him and he to me!!! I asked him if he was happy and if he had made a lot of friends. He said he hadn't made a lot of friends. That kind of made me sad, but he seemed soooo very content. I honestly didn't get the feeling that he was completely happy, though. It was as if he was content to WAIT for me and would be COMPLETELY HAPPY when I joined him someday.

We kept walking and talking and then he said, "Look over there. Do you remember Bear?" (That was one of my brother, Brian's, dogs.) I said, "Yes." I could see him jumping and playing in the distance. Then we just spent lots of time together ... not talking, but just BEING TOGETHER!!! I tell you, it was wonderful waking up and knowing that I had spent time with MY BOY!!!!!!!!! Maybe it was his way to tell me he is doing OK and to say "Merry Christmas!"

I will always remember this dream ... for as long as I live!!!! One thing that surprised me is that I didn't see my mom. Guess that will be for another time! *sigh* But it left a VERY PEACEFUL feeling in my heart and a VERY BIG SMILE on my face! May you all have the same feeling and find something that makes you smile this Christmas!!!! ♥
