Chessie
by Denise Harglerode.........................................
It was just a year ago that I held you for the last time. I thought my heart would break as I had to tell you good by. Then I remembered where you were going and I felt a little bit better. You'd be healthy again and could run around and be our little "Scorpio". I miss seeing you run from one end of the house to the other with your tail curved over your back. I also missing having you help me change the sheets on the bed and doing laundry. Daddy misses having a kitty that likes to take naps with him.
Thank you for sending us Holly. I'm sure you had a "paw" in that. I know how you little "angels" are...you saw a youngster that it just wasn't her time to cross the bridge yet. I know you probably said to her: "Look little bit, I was once a lonely little stray myself and these nice people saved me, now you need to go and save them. And maybe they won't be so sad if they have a new furbaby to love. Of course, you won't be taking my place - you'll have to make a place of your own."
Chessie, you gave us so much love and we miss you and all the cute things you did that made all of us laugh. Thank you so for choosing us to be your people. We'll see you at the bridge someday but until then remember, you are always in our hearts. We love you Chessie Belle..
