My Yoshi Girl
by Diana Anderson.........................................
My Yoshi Girl
Every night I sit and cry-
I never got the chance to say good-bye.

I'll never forget that sad look in your eye-
Never had I imagined that you would die.

I hold your toys while on your bed-
wishing they were you instead.

You'd wait for me when I would come home-
They've taken you, I'm all alone.

Willie and Bags they miss you too-
Waiting by the gait you no longer come through.

We'd jump in the car and go for a a ride-
you'd sit on my lap or lay by my side.

You and Dad would play hide and seek-
racing through the house like a streak.

Our long walks together-
I will always remember.

Your dishes, your toys, and your stuffed bears-
Replaced with pictures of memories we once shared.

No more will we run and play-
Forever lonely is my day.

Now that we are far apart-
The emptiness is still in my heart.

My Yoshi Girl I miss you so-
Why did you leave me, why did you go.

I know you are looking down from heaven-
He's now taken you for his companion.

Someday we will meet again-
Wait for me....Yoshi my friend.
