Joy and Sorrow
by Gary .........................................
A few months after I met the girl who would become my wife, she bought an 8 week old Pitbull/Rottweiler from a friend. He was just the cutest little thing. We took him to the dog park every weekend and took him with us all over town. He soon became the best thing in our lives besides each other. We bought a house with a huge backyard, just for him. He loved it. We bought him a female pitbull for him to play with. They soon became best friends. Five years later, we adopted a chihuahua mix. He welcomed her into his pack with open paws. He was a rather large dog and tore his cruciate ligament 3 years ago. It slowly healed and he seemed like his normal self.

He soon tore the ligament in the other knee and became aggressive to his pack mates, and with our little ones roaming the house,we decided tonight, that it was time to let him go.

The vet said he was in worse shape than we had thought. His blood pressure was low and his muscles were deteriorating.

Tonight, we said goodbye to our beloved best friend. My wife and I bawled our eyes out and kissed him goodbye.

We will always love you and we'll meet up again in Rainbows Bridge.
