The Where That You Did Roam
by Geoffrey Sonnen.........................................
I'll always love you,

but will you know?...

for every second draws you farther from this home that was your heart.

No longer hear you...

No longer show...

and every wracking moment wishes for a brand new start.

And all I knew became alien, all became unjust

Every corner of my being screams out,"Why?!"

If I only knew my last holding you, speaking prayers to God on high,

would only lead to separation, dialectic destination tearing all I've known apart...

Each moment I miss you,

but do you know?...

that every second becoming days becoming years within this life...

where I no longer hear you

and you no longer show...

You'll lie safely in my deepest place, every night I will still kiss your face goodnight...despite this strife...

Every moment shared will fade and recollection rust

And every fiber of my being screams out, "Why?!"

If we only knew we would cleave in two, despite gratitude to sky,

It only led to desperation. Dire demented perpetration of an unexpected dart...

I'll always call you,

but will you hear?...

Every distance elongated while every moment's propagated.

No longer,Dear You...

No longer near...

my tears, exacerbated, while my soul is decimated...

And everything I've known as whole has decayed into dust

And the center of my being screams out,"Why?!"

If you only knew that my holding you was in the few times I knew trust

Now,wrapped within more this isolation. Love led to more annihilation,I can barely feel this heart...

I'll always touch you,

but will you feel?...

that this ache inside will never go away,I have to say...

No longer warm here...

No longer real...

All that's left is just a hole that once contained the sweetness of your way that made this home...

Every sense that I possess is searching for the where that you did roam...

For my baby puss-kitten,Simba,whom I will love and miss till the end of time...March 28,2012
