We got Kayonna about 7 years ago, a 4 lb chihuahua who thought she was a Great Dane. She was a daddy's girl running into the bedroom when Rich would take a nap or go to bed. She also knew when I didn't feel well, being diagnosed with a chronic illness 6 years ago, and when I would go to bed she'd sleep in the bend of my knees. She ran off during a real bad rainstorm and thank goodness after putting a notice in the paper we found her again. We got Curly a mini poodle about a year later and it was funny to see her try & steal the ball from him when we threw it. She was the "big sister" even though Curly was a bit bigger than her. About 6 months ago her eye was infected and had to be taken out, along with a lot of her teeth. We always told her how beautiful she was with her eye missing and her tongue sticking out. Her illness came on suddenly and it was only a few days after taking her to the vet that we knew it was time for her to go over the Rainbow Bridge with her "brother" Chris.
