Hunter
by Gina Grant.........................................
I would like to take the time to tell you all about our beloved 14 year old yellow lab Hunter. We had to say goodbye to him today and are so sad to have done so. He gave us 14 wonderful years of his special love. Hunter was a therapy dog as well and was so good to all he would meet. He did not have a mean bone in his body. And yes, he was my best friend!! We had to put him down today due to complications from old age. I know he is no longer in pain but that does not help the sadness I feel inside. My heart hurts so bad today. He was so loved by all who met him. I often said that I would love to come back in a second life as my dog Hunter. He was spoiled very much but he earned it! He was a wonderful companion to my daughter who had a disability as well. She loved him so much. We also have a 8 year old lab who was Hunters buddy as well. I can tell she is missing him to. They were always together and we are worried she will be so lonely without him. We know that doggie heaven will take good care of him but that does not make the pain go away. You think your going to have them forever and when the time comes like it did for us today you are just torn apart. I want everyone to know what a great family member he was to us and that we will miss him. God bless you Hunter and thank you for all the wonderful memories we have of you. We will forever love you and miss you!
