My Beloved Raleigh
by Gina LaRose.........................................
Today November 24th at 4:45am my beloved dog Raleigh departed from this world and from my life. He was an enjoyable and friendly golden retriever that brought so much joy and heart to our lives. He was my best friend and ever since the day he was born he was special and my baby. He was spoiled and we made sure he and his mom and dad stayed together. when we had a baby of our own I thought that Raleigh would be a handful and be jealous. Much to my happiness he took to our daughter and touched her heart as he had touched ours. Although she is 1.5 years old she can say his name so clearly and even now asks me where he his. i tell her he had to go bye-bye and hide my tears. I have to say I have never had a dog touch my life like Raleigh did and although I miss him terribly, I am so glad to have had him my life. He lost his battle with cancer that he had fought for 11 months. He out lived the statistics and for that I salute him. May he look down upon us each and everyday and watch over our little girl just like he did everyday while he was on earth with us. he will be terribly missed but know that his passing ended his pain and his inability to walk properly and be a normal healthy dog. My heart aches for him but I know he is not having to worry about taking pills and not going outside because of his illness. he is somewhere playing with others and feeling as free as a bird. Although time may pass and days will get easier without him, he will always remain a deep part of my heart and a trusted friend forever. We love you Raleigh. Please know that.
