I had my first dog, Bailey, a Golden Retriever, since the day I was born. When I was old enough, my parents showed me pictures of her as a puppy and then pictures of us together when I was born. I always thought that one of her pictures was funny because it looked like her tail was shaped like a flag. She was the best dog - she would let you hug her and kiss her and smother her with love as much as you wanted. Sadly, she became ill on Saturday, February 16, 2008 and at the age of 12 1/2 she had lived a long and wonderful life with our family. It was a very sad time today because my parents decided to tell the vet that they wanted her to be put to sleep. I was so sad and I couldn't stop crying but Rainbows Bridge has really made me feel better.
