Coco
by Gretchen Stine.........................................
Coco, although you were not in my true family I always considered you as my first dog. I've always been a cat person and never had my own dog. You were always very special to me. I met you when I interviewed to be Jax's nanny. You were still a puppy but already a very large dog. You had so much energy as I'd let you in every day that I would stand way to the side so you wouldn't knock me over. I enjoyed many wonderful hours with you in the 5 years that I cared for you and your family. I remember when you would come back from camp and so sad to have left your sister. You and I would sit on the floor together and I'd rub between your toes to try and cheer you up.
You were the most gentle dog I've known, when the twins were born and I was having a tough time taking care of both of them you would often be found curled around a crying baby, looking up and me wondering why I couldn't manage them both on my own. I always enjoyed telling people the story of how you would never let me turn Jax upside down even when she begged me to hold her that way. You were very smart and always looked both ways before we would cross a street together. I love you Coco, I hope you are in a better place now, and feel no pain. Love Gretchen
