Abbey was perhaps the most beautiful puppy I have ever seen. She was small and reddish brown and fuzzy, soft as silk and with a big bald belly on her. She had a unique marking on her forehead that would make her ours forever and ever. When she was puppy she would run out of gas and end up sleeping on the couch every couple of hours. She would lay in the sun and rest on the porch as an adult in the summers. We spent many hours back there where we rubbed her belly and rested with her. Life was good for her. Treats were a must every few hours for her. In the early morning when one of us woke up she would ask for a biscuit and then two hours later she would ask again. She always loved getting petted and loved/touched frequently. She would communicate by nudging for love and attention all the time. She would watch the tv with us and always watched with crossed paws. She was that human....yet so loving a dog. She loved the water and putting her paws in the local doggie park water bath and scraping them back and forth....She will always be with us on our camping trips and nature hikes. She is a lover of life and has been our best friend.
