Sadie Girl
by Jeanette Bowles.........................................

REPLACING WITH:

I adopted Sadie when she was 6 weeks old. I had just gone through a divorce and my son, who was 12 at the time, started going to stay with his Dad every other weekend. The house felt so empty, so I decided to get a dog to fill that emptiness. I had no idea Sadie would go far beyond just filling empty space. She became my best friend. Like all children, my son grew older and moved out/on. Then...it was just Sadie and I. We became closer than ever. When she would be laying down resting she would always lift her head and look to see where I was. Most of the time I would be sitting in my favorite chair watching TV so when I saw her do that I would reassure her that I was there, then she would lay her head back down. When we would take walks in the yard, she stayed real close by, always looking to make sure I was there. When she would play with her toys, you could see the puppy that was sill in her. Sadie loved people. I wish I could have given her a life with a full family, instead of just me. Now that she has crossed over rainbow bridge, the emptiness has returned. Sadie gave me more unconditional love then I could have ever imagined. I want so much to believe that we will be together again.
