Always Remembered-Never Forgotten
by Jeanie Keltz.........................................
I lost my precious furbaby Shylo 3 years and 4 months ago. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of him, miss him and love him with all my heart. Shylo was a rescue puppy. We rescued him at 6 months old. He came from an abused family so he was very very scared of many things ,especially loud noises or voices. As the years went by Shylo became a little more relaxed as we gave him lots of love and attention. Although he was still scared of many things he was never scared to protect his family thats for sure. I swore after Shylo got suddenly sick at age 18 that I would never get another furbaby because thr pain of loosing them felt unbearable. For 4 months I cried everyday and cried my self to sleep every night. Then one day I went to a clients office and saw this little pet carrier and inside was the cutest lil doggie, I assumed it belonged to someone there but to only find out it was a stray. An old lady found him roaming the streets of her neighborhood and he has been hit by a car and hurt his leg. She was trying to find the dog pound and ended up going into my clients office to see if they new were it was. My client told the old lady she would take care of it for her. My client was going to take this precious lil one to the dog pound after work. She asked me if i wanted him or new of anyone that wanted a cute lil doggie. My heart just sank! I thought oh my god can I do this. I took the lil guy out of his carrier to meet him and he came running into my arms. The poor lil guy was full of fleas, and hardly had any hair left on his legs from chewing from skin allergies. My client told me if I wanted him she would take him to her vet and have him totally checked out and taken care of for me. That moment Shylo came into my mind as always, and all I could see was his pretty face looking at me and smiling. I thought this was a sign, my Shylo sent me an angel to help me with my loss of him. Shylo will never be replaced he was one of a kind but our new lil guy is wonderful. He is a 9 pound yokie mix and estimated his age to be about 4 when we rescued him which was 3 years ago. His name is Rocco! He surely fits the name in character and additude. As Shylo did, and my other fury friends I have had in my life, Rocco has stolen my heart and I thank my Shylo for sending him to us. He is truly a blessing. Today I am very sad because my best friend had to put her 10 yr old yellow lab to sleep due to a cancerous brain tumor. His name is Boggie. He has gone to Rainbow Bridge to meet up with Shylo and play and meet lots of new friends, He is now at rest adn out of pain and suffering. I know Shylo will meet him at the bridge so he is not alone and scared. I know they are both running around now and playing in the fields with their other fury friends. My heart is aching for my best friend since I know the pain of lossing your loving fury friend. Today brings back such heart wrenching memories of the day I had to put my Shylo to rest. I pray for my friend Rachele and her family thru this hard time and have sent them a gift card to register Boggie at Rainbow Bridge. If you are reading this story visit my Shylo at the Rainbow Bridge Residency and say hello. He is the only SHYLO registered, also please visit my friends fury baby within a few days , Boggie from Florida and say hello him and give the family some support.

I love you Shylo , Mommy misses you and thinks of you every single day. Our new fur baby Rocco knows all about you and wishes he could have met you too. Be sure you find Boggie at the bridge and keep him safe and show him around and introduce him to all your new friends you have made at the bridge in the past few years. kisses and hugs xoxoxoxoxoxo
