WE LOST OUR FRIEND

We Lost Our Friend

In a man's life he will have very few of these. Best friends is what I'm speaking of and last night I lost one of mine. If you ever saw or met him you would never forget him. If you have been around me for any time at all you've heard me brag on him or I maybe told you about him. Regardless of what was going on in my life at that time he was always there for me. Not once did he ever let me down. If I was having a bad day he was always there to put a smile on my face. In his eyes I was the best as he was in mine. He could sense when something was wrong with me and was always there for me and somehow helped me feel better. No one has ever been happier to see me anytime I arrived. There are so many things I am going to miss about him. Like quietly woofing me when he needed to go out or was ready to go to bed, or taught me not to actually say the word but rather spell it "GO" until he learned to spell, but he was always ready to. I will miss the big bubbles at each corner of his mouth when he would hear the plastic wrapper of an oatmeal pie, I will miss him for sure and it will take sometime for me to get over not having him around.

Last night we lost our friend "Fitch" Harper our 100lb American Bulldog. Fitch lived a fantastic nine years. The time we had with him will be treasured forever. He was as big a part of the Harper Family as anyone. In time the hurt will slowly diminish but Fitch my friend, we will never forget you. If it's true and all dogs do go to heaven I can tell you that heaven is even a better place today.

Rest in peace my friend "Fitch"
