Meet Me at the Bridge

Meet Me At the Bridge

I reached for you this morning but there’s an empty space where you used to lay.

Our daily routine is no longer. I try to think of the wonderful times we had but right now it’s only somber.

The joy you brought to me goes without saying. I need only remember you healthy and playing.

I know you were tired and had to go. I hope you’re running in flower fields and watching below.

You will forever live in my heart. I’d give anything for us to go back to the start.

You crossed a bridge that I could not follow. My once full heart now hollow.

You were truly one of a kind and something special. Our bond was undeniable.

Rest easy my sweet boy and until we meet again. I’ll be waiting for you to Meet Me at The Bridge.
