The Dog who went to heaven
by Jennifer Wis.............................................
This is a story about Lucy's journey.Lucy was my little pug. She was just my little baby.Lucy couldn't walk anymore. On april 5th Lucy took a journey to a beautiful place. My family was recently going on vacation. Lucy went on vacation too. This is a story about Lucy's journey.
One day Lucy woke up. She was in pretty little garden with flowers every where and big huge trees to lay underneath. Above her was a blue sky. She couldn't seem to figure out where she was.
She found a street paved with soft gold. Around her were whit picket fences with pretty little dog houses behind it. all of a sudden Lucy saw her cousin Cady. Cady had passed away some time ago and Lucy realized she must of passed away too. "Where am I Cady?" asked little Lucy. "Your on a journey. a journey to the best place that no where on earth can even possibly compare to. A place with flowers and food and anything you could ever imagine."
The two dogs began walking down the street catching up on old times and how everything was back on earth. Suddenly they came to a big desk made of pretty little flowers. A man working at the front desk smiled at Lucy."Excuse me sir where are we. Alls I remember going to sleep and, poof, i ended up here." The man replied, "Thanks for bringing her to us Cady. Lucy, Lucy you are on a journey to your way to heaven. On the way you will see many beautiful things. they are only previews of heaven. You will meet things along the way and do what you must. When you've completed all of these tasks you will be in the most magnificent place." "Thank you sir. I will be on my way."
The two dogs walked down the road further.first they came upona beautiful fountain. Lucy remembeed how much she had loved swim and how she was not able to do it for a while because of her legs. Lucy jumped in the big fountain. Her and Cady began splashing and swimming when suddenly a man popped out. "Hello Lucy and Cady. I am a very lonely man. My daughter should be here by now and I miss her deeply." He showed the dogs a picture of his daughter. "If you see her tell her to meet me at the fountain please." The dogs agreed.
They began walking along the road again when they came upon another dog. The dog looked vicous and Lucy tried to hide her fear. The dog began to speak. "Hello! My vish is to be the to vn first in dog shov. I vonce did. I von the biggest trophy. Now i've seemed to ov missed placed it. I vant it back. Please Please help me find it now."
The dogs began looking when suddenly lucy could swear she spotted something shiny. She ran as fast as she could doing cartwheels on the way. She found it and gave it to the russian dog.
"Thank vou! Thank vou! Lucy you found my vinnings!"
the two dogs set out again on the soft road. Lucy felt so light. She felt like before she had eaten all of that extra french toast. They came upon a young girl with beautiful gold blonde hair. They remembered her from the picture they had seen before.
"Excuse me miss" said Lucy. "Are you missing your father?" the girl replied. "why indeed I am. I can't find him anywhere. have you seen him?" "Yes he is waiting for you by the fountain." "Thank you! Thank you Lucy!' the girl ran off.
Next lucy came upon a large tree. "Oh Cady why don't we eat the fruit.ooks so nice and i am so tired." Cady replied. "Lucy we can not eat from that tree. God has told me and all the other dogs that that tree is too holy. We cannot go near it. We can go to all of the other trees." Up behing Lucy came a a little girl. "Oh Lucy i'm so hungry. Can't you get me an apple up from that big tree. Oh Lucy it looks so delicious. You could get one for yourself too." Lucy replied. "That is the holy tree. I'll get you an apple from over ther though." "No! I mean Lucy I know you don't want to disobey God, but it's fine. It's not a big deal. How about if you get in trouble you can be a ruler of my place. I'm not really a little girl! I'm something much more powerful." No! I know who you are! Your the devil. If you weren't you would accept an apple from any other tree. Now I may not go to heaven because I cannot complete your task but I will not betray God." The little girl vanished from thin air. Suddenly huge golden gates rose up ahead. A man came over to Lucy and Cady. "Lucy! you've passed the test. Congratulations!" The gates opened up. "Welcome to heaven!"
Lucy and Cady enetered the gates and ran around. tHey played in the grass and even did back flips. They were like super dogs. Lucy even flew. They lived in heaven forever.
