Missy Moo came to my family quite unexpectedly, and her playful personality blossomed as she grew. We went through quite a lot together, including three knee surgeries and bloat. But Missy Moo was a survivor and she made the very most of her ten years. Missy loved to run in the field with her weimaraner buddies, chase bunnies (lovingly), and swim. She never went outside without a toy in her mouth, just in case there might be an opportunity to play, and she loved to make "Mooey Angels" in the snow, no matter how cold it was outside. When her buddy Quentin died last year, Missy Moo took over leading the pack and watched over us all. She took her job very seriously, and as recently as this February, Missy Moo alerted us to the close presence of a very large mountain lion and led us all home to safety. It is hard to know Missy Moo is gone. Chloe and Luna are still searching outside for her and they sit on the deck waiting for her for hours on end. We all take great comfort in her Rainbow Residency and all the wonderful gifts and comforting messages we have received. I am a critical care nurse and my patients have told me many times of seeing their family pets when they come close to crossing over. I know Missy Moo is healthy now, and happy. She will make "Mooey Angels" in the snow this winter and play with her friends Quentin and Otto to her heart's content in the leaves this fall. I know she will be there to greet me when it is my time to cross, but until then, God Bless Missy Moo, and all those residing with her.
