One afternon only 9 short years ago 2 young girls came by and asked have you lost a kitten? I said no but if you don"t find his owner bring him back to me. Later in the evening they brought you back to me; a small black and gray striped baby.
At the time I also had a dog named Lady Bug, It only took a short time and you two were best buddies playing like cats and dogs play.
You two soon became my best friends to confine in all my happy thoughts and sad ones also, you gave me so much love!
The years seemed so short, we lost our Lady Bug through a car on the road, the person didn't even stop, Had to have her put to sleep, It was the hardest thing I have ever needed to do, she was 13 years old. Two weeks ago My beautiful Tom became ill, couldn't breathe, we went to the Vet, fluid had developed around his heart so they drained off 300 cc and you came home on a heart pill and a water pill, the vet said it would help for awhile but not cure. 2 weeks later back for a recheck fluild built up again and this time also in the stomach area also. So those dreaded words again " We could do more time consuming tests and still not be able to save you" I had to again make this terrible decision to let you go easy and end your suffering
I miss you so much, on the foot of my bed at night, following me around and seeing the love from your beautiful big green eyes and your purring, I love you Tom cat.
