For Alley Cat by Jill Rucker
I watch the clouds up there ...
In you I found the tenderness that I do not possess,
The understanding that I do not know,
In order to find love in this stupid world...
The body that you are is no more,
The body you are is not here...
The person I am is not here,
Who then, lives here?
Some went by themselves,
Some came back...
Some went softly,
Some went badly!
You are the clear, rolling waves,
You are white water rapids...
There I will drink love from you,
I am dark forests and valleys,
You are golden meadows and warm sunshine.
With you up there I am here no more
I watch the clouds up there...
When I go, you must surrender me if you can,
It will not be easy you know but,
It is by dying that we will live together...
Goodbye love
Hello clouds up there...
You are already there
Who lives here?
Some went by themselves!
Hello love,
Goodbye down there...
Hello clouds up here,
Goodbye forests and valleys,
I watch the clouds down there.
