For Sonar not a pet but a friend
by Jobe Bicksler.........................................
Sonar was a flame point Siamese. A 14 pound white ball of fur with orange tips. He was a rescue, but i wasnt the one who saved him, i was the one he adopted. I work alot in my home office and everytime i was heading to the kitchen he would be right there to keep my company while i waited for my coffee to heat up. Couldnt ignor him even if i tried cause he would snag me at the leg or hand to remind me he was there. Always wanted to talk to me. Laied on my chest and watch tv with. Ive know alot of cats but none like him because he always wanted to be with me, not the typical cat," ill allow you to pet me for a while then ill go about my buisness", no when i was around so was he, and if i had to leave the room he race me to the door cause hed know he was going to get a final good scratch for now, and wait for my return. Ive known alot of animals in the past and its always sad when they go but ive never cried so hard as I did for Sonar. Because to me he wasnt a cat, wasnt a pet, wasnt a thing, he was my friend, my kid. And im going to miss him so very much. It may sound bad a grown man, strong as they come, lose it so bad, but when a furry child has your heart and you lose them it hurts. There will never be a replacement, but always a memory. I love you Sonar rest in peace buddy.
