An Old Dog's Prayer
Dear God my heavenly master as you can see I've grown old and frail. I cannot jump, I cannot run or even wag my tail. I've done the job a good dog should do I really tried my best. I think it is time I have earned my heavenly rest. I have heard of a bridge with gardens of beauty beyond compare where old dogs are young and sick dogs are well the place they will dwell until their master fetches them home. Tell my master please do not cry and dry the tears from his eyes. Tell him I will wait oh so patiently until his journey ends. To look for me by the willow tree where the rainbow ends. This is my doggy prayer. Amen
