For Carol, in loving memory of Cooper
by Joseph DiNovi
Beyond the Rainbow Bridge
For Carol, in loving memory of Cooper

Cooper ran with joyful feet,
A heart so full, a soul so sweet.

A loyal friend through every day,
Now gently called, he slipped away.

The sky turned soft, the world stood still,
As silence settled on the hill.

But look beyond, where colors bend—
The Rainbow Bridge, where love won’t end.

There waiting in the morning light,
Stood Millie, Charley, glowing bright.

With wagging tails and playful eyes,
They greeted him beneath the skies.

No pain, no age, just boundless grace,
They ran together, in warm embrace.

And though your arms feel empty now,
His love still lingers, strong somehow.

In whispered winds and stars above,
You’ll feel his pawprints, feel his love.

And when you smile through tears that fall,
Know Cooper’s love still holds you, Carol.
