Lobo
by Joseph Kuhn.........................................
We lost him on this rainy day
Between showers, he went out to play.
Fron now on, he'll always be free
No longer will his pout have to plea.

I remember those walks in early morn
And I knew that his spirit was torn
Fo be free to run wherever he cared,
The wind is his buddy; now he's been freed.

I remember his smile after he'd return
Fron his escape run, no energy left to burn.
He would lap up water and empty the bowl.
To dream of his next escape was his goal.

Also memorable was his courtship of the ladies.
His only desire was to make great babies.
His demeanor has been described as gruff and pushy,
But who ever said his job had to be cushy.

He was our Houdini, great at escapes.
To keep up with him, you had to be in shape.
Chasing after him only made it more fun
But not for me in the Florida sun!

I don't think that we'll ever forget
He was the biggest stinker we ever met.
His love for us was on a different plain
To put our love for him in words is hard to explain.

Now there is one less to sleep in bed with me,
But I know he's much happier being this free.
No longer will he be bound by the fence
And to him, this makes a lot more sense.

We love and miss you Lobo. Wait for us at the Rainbow Bridge.
