Poem of passing
by Joseph Jerdee.........................................
Summer barbeques fill the air
the nylon tent of a scented flair
falling leaves across the ground
no more bones to be found
winter brings its stinging bite
though we last all through the night
abandoned we our last commands
springtime slips through our hands
nearly a decade we stay here
though not as much as thirteen years
but time is not to live forever
for we lose our good ol' bretheren
lasting long as it may seem
living naught past our dreams
lost together early on
meant to meet far beyond
