Joshua
by Joyce Bates.........................................
Joshua was sweet little thing that was abandoned along with his siblings at a very early age. He was under 4 weeks old but the challenge to me did not matter. I took him home and proceeded to nuture him. He was fed Junior Baby Foods and he thrived very nicely.
He was a happy, healthy puppy that grew old but never grew up.
The kids loved him actually everyone loved him who knew him.
My friend called him "a glance from God" and that is exactly what he was. He was with us for 17 1/2 years of pure joy. We lost him on 4/23/09 and I cannot say that it was totally unexpected as he was having some health issues mostly age related. He passed quietly in the night and although we were very upset we were happy that he was at home and felt safe and sound. We were spared a grave decision.
We thank God everyday for the time and joy that Joshua gave us. He had a biblical name and he lived up to it to the end.
We will always love him and always miss him and we know that there will never be another like him.
