A Dog's Story
by Juanita Sherlock.........................................
Dog's with all their noble traits, are bound by love to human fates
And if a dog is treated kind, A truer friend you'll never find
A dog will know it's master well, The words, the touch, the certain smell
To dog's these are the rich rewards, And in their hearts strike special chords
Dog's are treasured for many things, Like the joy and fun each one brings
And the trusting loyalty they give, Within the cherished homes they live
Unless it has a tasty bone, A dog is truly pleased alone
With gentle eyes and cold wet nose, It follows where it's master goes
And late at night in dark and cold, Sleeping dog's both young and old
Relive in dreams the moments of the expressions of their masters love.
