How do you put 12 years of love, companionship, undying loyality and devotion, laughter, tears and happiness into a few short paragraphs. How do you express to the world just how amazing our BLACKIE VANLUVEN was and is to us? He has touched our lives and the lives of so many people in such a profound and loving way. He has made so many people smile, laugh, and feel loved. How do you find the strength deep inside to do what you know has to be done.How do you stop being selfish because you don't know how to let go? We do know that we have to love him enough to do the right thing. Please forgive us Blackie if we held on to long because we know our hearts will never be quite the same again. Blackie has been fighting a cancer called Osteosarcoma for 7 months. It has been a long hard fight for him. The hardest part of all of this is that he is still playing and rolling around in the snow etc. It makes it all the harder to do what we know is best for him. He has tried to not show us that he is in pain. We have faithly given him his medicine from the vet but the tumor is progressing at a tremendous pace. We know that he will be better off in heaven running and playing in the grass and snow, where he is completely free from pain with other puppies we have lost in the past.We will never ever forget you Blackjack and the love and happiness you have brought into our hearts. For always greeting us with a wagging tail and playful way. we love you Blackie and our hearts will always carry you inside. You have been our best friend and for all these reasons we justwant to do what is right. Wait for us at heavens doors baby and we will meet you there as soon as Gods see it fit for us to be with you. Play, love, and be happy our blessed Blackie. Show us signs that you are still with us and when you do we will know that it is you reaching out to us. We love you forever Blackie VanLuven.
