BOSS

In Loving Memory Of Our Doggie "Boss man"
     ~+~Feb.10,1999- July 15, 2011~+~

Our precious pet we called Boss left us today
Over 12yrs. old pushing 90 in dog years they say
You'll be missed our furry friend in so many ways
I even became familiar with your bark in what you wanted to say

Like when you needed something or your "I love you"
 I'd plainly hear
I learned to respond back to you making my reply clear
Our hearts are truly broken saying good-bye after all these years
We knew your time was soon so we kept you very near

You were such a good boy rarely barking like others do
So when you did our attention was quickly turned to you
Unlike the other dogs disturbing the neighborhood
I've even lost sleep from others perhaps barking at the moon

You were one in a million never to be replaced
The whole day long I cried knowing I'd miss your sweet face
You knew us as Nanny and Papa from day one
Your Daddy was Shawn but you made this your home

He got you at 4 weeks old as a birthday gift
By the time you were 4 months old you was hard to lift
Your time at your Daddy's house because of size was short lived
Papa built you a house so huge knowing you'd get big

When we seen as a pup your big paws
We knew it was fitting to name you Boss
You quickly became the protector of all of us
But when you seen all was okay you quickly hushed

Your Daddy started out taking you for walks
In a short time it was you taking him He'd kid with us
You was an Australian Sheppard and Akita mix
Thick lovely white coat with brown patches
The best in the litter picked

Your Daddy stayed here for days loving on you
On July 14th he went home for business to tend to
I think you waited till then knowing the intense pain he'd suffer
So with Daddy's sheet of red and white you were wrapped
In his scent on you to cover

On July 15, 2011 laying comfortably at our back door
You slipped away peacefully with no pain anymore
Jack Van Impe says that pets go to heaven
If that is the case our most precious one we'll see you again

With your vision restored and your legs like brand new
You'll come running to greet us with your bark of " I Love You"
Farewell till then with tearful eyes and heavy hearts full of love
We bid you ado until we meet again in heaven above

Lovingly penned By Nanny AND APPROVED BY PAPA
Revealing the love of your family
We'll miss you Bossy Boss
