Emma
by Karen .........................................
Emma came into this world with not much of a chance... she was born a Christmas pug on Dec 23...2006. She had encephalitis...the breeder didn't want her and at 6 weeks old gave her to a rescue group... I happened to be at a salon when my daughter and her friend came running in... mom .. you have to come to PetCo and see the baby pug....well I did,,, already having another pug Ernie....I love pugs....
I walked in and here in a playpen is the cutest, tinest pug youve ever seen... her head was misshaped and the lady that ran the rescue said noone wants her... she has medical issues and she just not right.. so I paid the 250.00 adoption fee and our lil bundle came home... we named her EMMA.. our sugar bear...shed come to either... she was hell on four legs....LOL she never quite grew up she stayed small her whole life only weighing about 11 lbs....she looked like a baby pug... the vet said she was lucky to survive with the brain damage.. but no matter we loved her..and her special ways....she became our routine.. Emma had to be hand fed, rocked to sleep and watched every moment or she would eat things she shouldn't, she loved to sneak up on my pillow at night and sleep on my head...she loved to go for walks and then sit down and make you carry her home...she loved other dogs and animals.. she even befriended a wild possum in our yard and would touch noses with it...she never wanted to chase things like normal dogs... she literally loved everything and anything.. even lizards....she was the kindest Lil fur-baby Ive ever known...we were truly blessed for 5&1/2 years...we lost our girl July 15, 2012.. in a horrible accident she got out and was hit by car... and we will never forgive ourselves....but i know that she was given to us to teach us patience and love....I know that she is with us here and now.. we hear her everyday in our house, we have seen her moving about and the other dogs have seen her as well....I know that she is our angel and watches over us, and I know that she knows how loved she was and horribly we miss her each day!!!! We will never forget our Emma our Sugar Bear!!!!
