Around the neighborhood you'd take your walks
at your loving mother's side
"Oh look, it's Tess" they'd say to you,
with smiles a mile wide
When the walk was o'er, and you'd trot inside
to your fresh cold water bowl,
the kitties would join you, nose to nose,
they loved you, too, you know...
Your gentle tender spirit, Tess
and devoted, loving way
earned your "Miss Congeniality"
nickname everyday
A very special memory
your mom will always hold dear
is you nudging through the bathroom door
as she'd hear you getting near
and you couldn't wait to get a peek at
the bubble-filled bath inside
and you'd snorkle 'til your heart's content
your mom recalls with pride
I picture now, for you sweet Tess,
at the Rainbow in the sky
you've earned your angel wings and now
on Carol's love you fly...
