My Sweet Furbabie
by Kari Eckert.........................................
I just wanted to let everyone know that my sweet Lucky Boy was laid to rest due to liver failer at the age of 6 yrs old. He rescued me one night 4 yrs ago at a job site I was working as a security officer. I was outside doing my rounds when something warm and fury started wrapping around my legs. I looked down and there he was. Cold and hungry. It was a stormy night and I had to sit in my car all night there. I went down to the corner store and bought him some canned and dry food and put it in the car. He jumped right in and ate then laid down on my passenger seat purring himself to sleep. We made it through the storm together. When he woke up I opened the door and went out to do his business and came right back to me and back in the car. The site manager said he was a stray that had been there for a week and was worried he would be run over as this was a construction site and I could take him home if I wanted to. I did and he has been with me ever sience. He will be dearly missed. He was always there with a pat on the arm or cheek if he could reach you if you didn't pet him enough or he wasn't done with you yet. LOL! My friends took me to the emergency vet to put him to sleep and we were all there with him so he knows how much he is loved. He is on the rainbow bridge now with all the other kittys and doggies and other animals and my mom who passed away 5 yrs ago and being loved and comforted by her. I wanted to share this with you and everyone if you feel you would like to put it in you news letter. He was such a special boy and it just isn't fair he had to die so young.
