The Hardest Year
by Kelley Morrison.........................................
Hi Brutus - I can;t believe you have been gone almost a year! Daddy and I still talk to you every single day! We miss you so much! It is hard to do anything without you but we are trying really hard cause we know it is what you would want!

Bear is hanging in there. Like you he will be 11 in July! He doesn;t get around so well anymore but he is still happy! But I know when he is ready to go he will be with you again so that is ok too!

What do you think of your new sisters? Rogue and Jubilee are a handful! I know you would have loved being a big brother to them! Bear seems to like them and keeps a watchful eye over them. He just doesn;t like it when they steal his bones and toys! Rogue is doing well in the show ring...I wish we had done that with you and Bear as you were the handsomest boys in the world! I am hoping that Rogue will get her first show point on the 15th for you! I know you will be watching her and daddy and cheering them on!

We bought a 5th wheel to travel to dog shows! You would love it! It has a great big living area for beds and cuddling! Bear and the girls had lots of fun...but I felt like you were right there with us the whole time!

I can't believe the year has gone so fast and mine and daddys hearts are just as broken as the day we had to let you go! We miss you so much! I know that we are going to be together again as a family someday but it is just so hard not having you here to hug on! Our anniversary on the 11th is going to be hard! Our first one without our Best Dog! I still love the pictures of you and Bear standing up for us in our wedding!

I hope you and Whisper are having fun on the bridge with Grandma Dottie and Grandma and Grandpa Phelan! Tell Grandma Dottie to give you LOTS of cookies!!!! I hope Cruiser found you after he disappeared in November! He loved you! And your neighbor friend Ike went over the bridge last weekend. Help him learn how to send pennies and rainbows to his mom and dad! They are having a hard time without him!

Keep sending mommy and daddy rainbows and pennies! They make us smile so much and you always send them when we need them the most! We love you big dog! And we can;t wait to hug you again!

Love,

Mommy and Daddy
Bear, Rogue, Jubilee, and Oliver
