Sweet Little Brownie
by Kelly Zelaznik.........................................
There once was a little brown Chihuahua that was born into the hands of a breeder, three people came into this little Chihuahua's life, but in the end they all returned her. They complained that she snuggled to much or required a little more attention than most puppies. One day, a little girl at the age of 10 was asked by her mom if she wanted to get a little dog. The little girl jumped up and down in joy. Following a softball game one day, this little blonde girl named Kelly arrived to rescue a little brown dog named Brownie. When Kelly arrived at the breeders, she was jumping for joy. Her mom told her that she could still look at other dogs and to remember that this was the only puppy in the litter left. Once Kelly opened the door to the house, she saw a tiny little puppy with white markings sitting in a play position. From that moment, the little puppy knew that she had found her forever home. For seven happy years, this little Chihuahua brought joy and smiles to Kelly and her friends. She was carried in baskets, brought to the dog park, swam in the ocean, frolicked with her two other furry siblings, and even went on vacation with her owner to see Stony Mountain in Georgia. Brownie was always happy, she enjoyed being in your lap at all times. Even when she began to get sick, no matter what state of mind she would lay by her owner. Her tail would gently wag as much as it could and she would look with her big brown eyes and say I love you, thank you for caring for me.

All good stories must come to an end, but this little girl who is now 18 still misses her furry companion. The house is quite, there is no more pitter patter of little feet and no one to snuggle with on the couch.

Brownie is now in heaven with all of the beautiful creatures that brought many humans love. She will always be remembered in my heart and her memory will live on forever.

R.I.P. My sweet little bee, one day I hope to meet you at those pearly white gates.
