It was a 1997; a Rainy Mother's Day, when on our front steps two puppies appeared. They were so young that they could hardly eat solid food at all. A few weeks go by when we decided to name them. Lucky the male and his sister Jewel. They play and run around the living room, bumping their heads as they run under and out from under the stool. One day I remember coming home and there was toilet everywhere from one end of the house to the other. When you sit down in the floor, they would run up to you tails wagging and then pull ponytails out of my hair. But, Jewel who chose me gave me her all. She was there for me through everything. Little did I know that I was going to need her the most when my parents went through a divorce around 2000. She listened to my troubles and just sat there for as long as I needed. She took away the pain and comforted me. I miss her so much. I love her so much. What I had with her was special and she can never be forgotten. Have fun chasing butterflies baby girl. She you again someday and thank you for all you gave me. You showed me unconditional love.
Love,
Mom
