You were the patriarch of our pack
Respected in bark and in bite, but no longer will we hear him.
Here was a dog that epitomized proud
Standing tall on guard against all things evil, but we no longer see him.
... ... Stoic as the day is long, he showed not fear nor faint
This was a dog that was tough, but we no longer have him.
When the Frisbee came out, here's a dog with heart
Flying through the air with invisible wings, he has made his last leap
Teacher to those needing tutoring
Responsibilities for a dog at the ranch are real, but he will lead no more
Excited to go for rides, even his last one he loved
Weak as he was, his deep bark boasted of strength as he was helped into the truck
We gave you all we could give
You gave us so much more, and the memories bring us back
Farewell my faithful friend...you will not be forgotten
