I want to tell you all about Bob. Bob was a Golden Retriever/St. Bernard mix. He was 16 years old. He was my helpmate.
See I am sick with Lupus and for many years Bob was my strength and comfort. He loved me and cared for me until this day. 9/5/05. He was 120+ pounds of joyous, love. He would jump up into my lap in the recliner so much that one day the recliner broke. I won't fix it Bob because it will never be the same without you.
Bob saved the life of two kittens he found freezing in the winters night..brought them to us so they joined the family Bob Jr. and Chip. Bob had two other older cats in his care and a puppy named Peter, who now has big paws to fill.
Bob literally lifted me when I would fall, or get help from Dad in the barn when I was in trouble in the house.
Bob knew when it was okay to let the ambulance people into the house.
He just somehow knew they were there to help me.
What can I say more, to discribe this amazing friend.
I say this to you Bob
Fly high on the angels wings. Look for grandma..she left us too soon. She will guide you. Always always look to Jesus. Remember he loves you...like we would sing.
Most of all my loving friend. NO sneaking off on school buses in heaven if they have them. The prinicple can't call me to have me come get you. But most of all...your free from your painful arthritis and your very tired physical heart. Thank you for every minute of every day you gave. Say hi to all our friends, Uncle Jerry, Granda and Grandpa Earley, Dino, Gizmo, Cali and Schoochie, and Grandma. Be sure she is okay. I miss her so. Mom loved us you know
I can't say thank you enough. My heart is breaking with sadness and leaping with joy for your freedom from your old body. I will miss you forever...but more I will love and remember you. Until we are together again. Just think...I won't be sick then either, no lupus, no cancer. We will run and be free, really get to play and to do what the Lord asks of us.
