Our Charlie
by Kristi Jablonski.........................................
Three months ago I had an encounter of a handsome little kitten that was being given away at my work. I couldn't resist this kitten because he was so full of life and had a cute long hair with beige/white colors. I had brought him home to meet my husband . We all had a joy to be with him. He loved all the rest of us too. One night recently we came home and it was late. Charlie was playing on the top of the couch with my fingers. I was reclined back on the couch. Charlie ran into our bedroom . The worst incident someone could ever witness just happened. I went to pull down the recliner and Charlie got stuck in the metal bars. My husband and I tried so hard to get the couch apart. We was so upset but nothing could be done.Just as I was getting ready to call 911 our baby had taken his last few breathes. I was horrified in guilt and trembling. Nothing Could have prepared us for this trama that had taken our Charlie away. I was more worried about him going outside and getting hit by a car. Now that I know that Charlie is at Rainbow Bridge I feel more comforted. My mind is at peace and we will miss our baby boy. I cannot stress how many times to all of those who have recliners to please keep an eye on where your babies go. I just would like everyone in Charlies memory to be careful with your recliners. Unexpected things can happen. Thankyou
