Rainbow Bridge for FELINES
by L. Napp.........................................
In memory of my tuxedo cat Lexy, who was put down just one year ago on 7-8-12. She had kidney disease. I miss that darn cat every day, and this revision of Rainbow Bridge has helped me cope

Somewhere, very far from here, just this side of heaven, is a place called RAINBOW BRIDGE.

When a cat dies that has been especially close to someone here on earth, that cat goes to RAINBOW BRIDGE.

There are grassy yards with flowers to smell and birds to watch. Other cats have soft, warm pillows to lie on and balls of yarn and feather toys to amuse themselves. There is plenty to eat..water, sunshine and catnip treats, and our cats are warm and very comfortable.

All the cats who were old and ill, are restored to healthy vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed, are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and time that has gone past.

They all frisk and play together, but one day comes when your cat suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright shiny eyes are intent, her tail starts to flick from side to side, her body starts to tense. Suddenly, she begins to run from the rest of the group, faster and faster, sprinting as fast as her legs will carry her.

YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion...hugs and stroking bring you to tears. Your hands again caress the beloved head of your pet as you once more look into the bright, trusting eyes of your cat, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart and thoughts.

Then, together, slowly, you cross the RAINBOW BRIDGE....together...forever...never to be apart again.

I hope with all my might, that Rainbow Bridge is there when it is my time. I miss my little pal,Lexy and hope to meet here there..
