Where's my Mommy?
by Laura Wiggs.........................................
Colors of the bridge lit up and the furangels gathered as the rainbow glistened with radiant color and light. The sun infuses all of the colors as a new arrival comes in from Earth. He's short and has a little padding and comes walking across the bridge admiring the beautiful colors of the rainbow and the meadow that stands before him. He looks around to see all the angels playing, the cats napping, the dog's playing catch with the children in the meadow, the birds in flight and he thinks to himself....Where's my Mommy? He is greeted by a demure lady that meows to him that her name is Fifi and she also informes him that she is the guide at the Bridge. Lucky meows back "I have never seen something this beautiful before." Fifi is a nice cat and she tells Lucky if he has any questions he can ask her. He meows "I do have one, tiny little question........Where's my Mom? Have you seen her? I have been looking for her things went dark and I heard her crying then I entered here." With a blank stare Fifi looks at Lucky and says "Lucky your Mommy is at home. Do you understand where you are at?" Lucky looks back and says "Yeah I know that I am in a wonderful place and I want to show my Mommy my cloud, and the meadow and the lake. She will love it!" Fifi lowers her head and meows softly to Lucky "Your Mommy's work on Earth is not finished.....she had to be left behind." Lucky says "Behind, what do you mean she was just right behind me?" Lucky turns 360 degrees. "Mom, Mom, Mom where are you?" The furangels gather around him and Fifi puts her paw onto Lucky's and says "All of our Mommy's and Daddy's were left behind on Earth. They are not finished with their jobs yet...they will be along soon. You see Lucky when your Mommy and Daddy come across the bridge the colors will light up and you will see them coming. They will pick you up and cross the brige into Heaven. That's how it works here." Lucky looks up with tears and says "My Mommy will never make it without me. She depends on me so much. What will she do?" Fifi smiles at lucky and looks into his eyes and says "Don't worry my Mommy will find your Mommy and help her through the grief. As I am guiding you.....she will guide your Mommy too." Lucky asks Fifi in a hushed meow "Does my Mommy still love me?" Fifi with tears in her eyes says "Yes Lucky, your Mommy will always love you. A Mommy's love never fades away. True love like Mommy and Daddy's love never dies."
