My first day without you, I forget that your not here,
I look to where you used to sleep and see that you're not there,
That's when I feel the sadness, that losing you has brought,
I can't believe you're gone for good, and I feel so distraught.

Today I kept so busy to keep my thoughts at bay,
So I won't feel the sadness that's just a thought away.
My lap feels so empty now, where you loved to sleep
And I know that I'll miss you with a love that was so deep.

I'm sorry for the way you passed, you struggled so to breathe,
I felt so sorry for you I asked God to help you leave.
I begged , I cried and apologized to see you suffer so
Eventhough I hated losing you I prayed that you would go.

My dearest pet, you were the sweetest I have ever known,
Because of you and all you were, I know that I have grown.
I can't stop looking to the place you often used  to sleep
And when I realize your gone, it makes me want to weep.🐈‍⬛
