Uncertain love
by Linda Jeffries.........................................
My husband brought home a puppy July 4, 1991. I was furious because he hadn't even discussed it with me first. She was so small only 6 weeks old and I frankly didn't want the responsibility of feeding, bathing and going outside in the rain, snow or whatever. I told him it is your responsibility to take care of her. You want her you take care of her. Well, it didn't take long before I was laughing at her cuteness and holding her in my arms while she looked at me and licked my face. I think I must have fallen in love at that very moment. She has been my very best friend and confidant in the world. We shared so many moments of happiness together I couldn't even begin to describe the love I feel for her still. I miss touching her head and listening to her breathe when she laid on the floor oh so close to me. I lost her to a rare disease on March 8, 2004. It seems like the last 3 years have flown by. I can't wait until the day I reunite with her.
