Buddy, our angel
by Lisa Seebruck.........................................
Buddy came to us almost 9 years ago as a bundle of excitable energy. He brought such joy to me, my husband and 3 children. We just had to have him put to sleep last Saturday. That was the hardest thing I have ever done. Buddy had cancer and we lost him just 4 weeks after he was diagnosed. Once he could not breath without laboring each breath we knew it was time. My husband and I cry each day and reminice about our angel. The day after Buddy died, we took a walk down our road that Buddy enjoyed so much. As we came back we decided to walk by the pond in the backyard and there we found Buddy's stuffed turkey that he lost last November, months before. The turkey was in perfect condition, which was not possible as it had been outside all winter. You see, my husband and Buddy had been searching for the toy for about a week before he died, and it was not anywhere in our yard. I picked up the toy, looked at my husband and we both said: Buddy is letting us know he is O.K. It has only been 3 days since he passed on and I am still crying. We love him and miss him but feel as if he is still with us.
