King's Love
by Lisa .........................................
King was our cat. He died tonight. He was a tabby who looked like a bengal with little tufts of hair on his ears and a white belly and white paws. Deep soulful eyes and a perfect little nose and mouth. He loved everyone he met. We had renters in the house often and he would curl up with anyone he thought needed some love. Least of all me. I was very depressed for about a year and he stayed with me every night. He knew my sadness and pain and was always there for me. I saw him lifeless tonight and feel so robbed of his love and joy.

He was the funniest cat anyone had ever met. He could tell a joke just by looking at you. He knew things. Things that I can't describe but he was wise. And so loving. Purred in the arms of strangers. But especially with me. When I was here or when I come home he was on my bed all night. Cuddling and comforting me deep into a peaceful sleep.

I will miss him forever. I hope I get to see him again. He is buried in the back yard beside our beloved dog Chief. My heart is broken that I won't see his beautiful furry face again in this life. Or hear his loud purr. Or see him stretched out sleeping. Or just generally wandering around the yard going wherever he pleased doing whatever pleased him.

I love you King. I know you know you were loved. Fiercely by all who knew you. You were the sparkle in my eye. My Kingy. Oh God how I loved you and how I'll miss you. Sleep well my beloved friend. I will never forget you.
